Konami will begin serializing a comic version of Cross Fire (published by Koubunsha) based on the best-selling novel by Miyuki Miyabe. Cross Fire will be featured on Konami’s mobile web-based Digital Comics available through NTT DoCoMo, au, and SoftBank mobile phone starting Friday, December 21, 2007.
Cross Fire is a best-selling novel boasting over 1.9 million copies sold since its publication. It’s the story of a girl with the psychokinetic power of pyrokinesis on a mission to hunt down criminals who escape the law and punish them in the name of justice.
Readers enjoying the comic version of the novel on Digital Comics can take the plot in a direction of their own choosing. Digital Comics puts the story line and ending in the hands of the readers, enabling them to enjoy different plots and endings that stray from the original. Konami will release a new issue of the online comic every Friday.

Plot Synopsis of Cross Fire:

Junko Aoki, who has the psychokinetic power of pyrokinesis, is on a mission to hunt down criminals who get away from the law and punish them in the name of justice.
One day Junko discovers a group of teens assaulting innocent people. Although Junko fights the criminals with her special powers, the ringleader evades capture.
Junko begins her hunt for this criminal mastermind in the hopes of fulfilling the dying wish of a victim whose last words were: “Please help her, she was kidnapped.”
