KONAMIは、全世界でのシリーズ累計販売本数が3,800万本を超えるサッカーゲーム「ウイニングイレブン」シリーズの最新作「ワールドサッカーウイニングイレブン2008」を、PLAYSTATION 3、Xbox 360、PlayStation 2向けに、2007年11月22日に発売します。
本作のイメージキャラクターには、クリスティアーノ・ロナウド選手（ポルトガル代表）を起用し、パッケージや店頭ポスター、TVCMなどに登場します。

本作に対応するUSBカメラをゲーム機に接続することで、写真や画像をそのままゲーム内に取り込み、選手やユニフォームを作成することができます。
