KONAMI announced the completion of its soon-to-be released Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (MGS4) at a press conference on Tuesday, May 13. Using the theatrical backdrop of Toho Cinemas' Roppongi Hills Cineplex, KONAMI treated the invited guests and media to a big screen sneak preview of the exciting gameplay action to come with this latest installment in the Metal Gear series .

MGS4's opening sequence and latest trailer playing across the silver screen left the audience with a vivid impression of the realistic visuals and the impressive sound quality to come with the game which is slated to be released around the globe this June 12. The press conference also included mention of collaborative planning with various other brands and enterprises as well as promotional activities.

Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. President, Fumiaki Tanaka, used the opportunity to express his gratitude to all the fans and everyone else who has supported the series over the years. Tanaka's address was followed by an appearance from non other than Corporate Officer, and Director of Kojima Productions, Hideo Kojima, who provided some special insights into MGS4.

Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. President and Group CEO, Kazuo Hirai, also made an appearance in which he extended his congratulations upon the successful completion of MGS4 and spoke about his anticipation of MGS4's quickly approaching release, now only one month away. He has collaborated on a number of promotional activities for MGS4 as well as the release of special edition MGS4 Playstation®3 models.
