Konami's METAL GEAR SOLID 4 GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS(hereafter, MGS4) won the Game of the Year award at various game award ceremonies in America, and Europe. On the online game sites, the game won on 5 awards such as the "GameSpot's Best of 2008" on Gamespot (U.S.), the "1up Readers' ChoiceAwards" on 1up.com (U.S.), the "Spiele des Jahres 4PLAYERS.DE" on 4PLAYERS.DE (Germany), etc. The game also won on the "FoxNews.com" news site, making an overall total of 6 wins for Game of the Year. The game also won various other Awards other than Game of the Year, such as "Best PS3 Game", "Best Action Game", and "Best Graphics", etc. |
