KONAMI will be releasing Jikkyou Pawafuru Major League 2009 (Wii®, PlayStation®2) simultaneously in Japan, Korea and Taiwan on April 29th.

Jikkyou Pawafuru Major League 2009 will include a " '09 WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC™ " mode based on the event that begins on March 5th (in Tokyo) with 16 countries and territories throughout the world competing for the title of world champions.

In " '09 WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC™ " mode, all players competing in the tournament will appear with their actual names, and all participating teams' uniforms and even the stadiums the games are held in between round 2 through the finals have been recreated. Even tournament rules such as "Pitch limit" and "Tie breaker" are included.

Users can choose their team from the 16 competing countries and territories and play the tournament to win the world championship.

Aside from the "'09 WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC™" mode, many other points of the game have also been improved.

"Major Life" mode, which player takes the role of Major League Baseball player from rookie to retirement, now got more enhancements. "Success" Mode, where player trains minor league Baseball players to go for the Major League, will have added numbers of scenario types. The game is ready to deliver enhanced gameplay .

Players' facial features can now be added to their characters and users can make adjustments to the players' form and skills.
