KONAMI will release the game application Mobile Pawafuru Puroyakyu '09 WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC™ for NTT Docomo and Softbank Mobile on March 18th.
Mobile Pawafuru Puroyakyu '09 WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC™ will have appearances by all athletes, under their real names, playing in the '09 WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC™ in which 16 countries and territories throughout the world competing for the title of world champions, and the return of the uniforms from all participating teams, and the first-game starting lineup of each team. The game also follows tournament rules such as "Pitch Count", and the "Tie-Breaker system". Making use of the mobile-phone application feature, players will also benefit the most updated information from the actual matches.
"Tournament Mode, " where you select one team from 16 teams and aim to the top by playing through the WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC™, "Practice Mode," where you play a one-off match against computer team. You can enjoy the exciting WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC™ competition through the simple operation of a mobile-phone.
