KONAMI will release LOVEPLUS, a new romantic communication game, for Nintendo DS this September 3rd.

Set in suburban high school, LOVEPLUS gives players the chance to meet their favorite high school heartthrob in this sensational new romantic communication game. Since the title is designed for a portable handheld game console, the characters are always just an arm's length away.

LOVEPLUS employs the DS real-time clock (RTC) to synchronize the time and seasons in the game with the actual time of day and year. The girls in the game will leave in the morning and spend the day at school right along with the player. The game's various seasonal events bring the virtual and real world so close that players will feel as if they were actually spending the moments together with the characters.

7:00 a.m.: Meeting her along the way to school.	3:00 p.m.: Afterschool club activity	8:00 p.m.: Walking her home after a date

Lending their voices to LOVEPLUS are voice actors, Saori Hayami, Sakura Tange, and Yuko Minaguchi. The game's voice recognition function enables players to talk with all three of the game's fully voiced characters.

The game's images and characters have been painstakingly rendered in exquisite 3D graphic detail to bring this sweet and innocent game of teen romance to life. Even the characters' facial expressions and movements change as they talk with the player.

LOVEPLUS boasts a wardrobe of over 400 different outfits for the characters to wear as well as more than 500 varieties of hairstyles and colors. The game features more than 4,000 different events, including Christmas and birthdays, where players can interact with the girls and even hold hands via the stylus.

Unlike other dating games, LOVEPLUS goes beyond just getting one of the characters to confess his or her love. The real fun starts after the player wins the heart of the girl and the dating begins. LOVEPLUS is a totally new kind of interactive communication game that brings the interaction to a whole new level.
