KONAMI will release its PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL SPIRITS 6 for PLAYSTATION®3 and PlayStation®2 this July 16th.

PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL SPIRITS 6, the newest addition to KONAMI’s popular baseball series, offers visuals and sound effects that really bring the game alive. The players’ movements and expressions as well as the stadium environment look so realistic, you feel as though you are watching a televised broadcast of an actual game.

This latest title, featuring the 09’ WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC™ mode, recreates the thrilling international baseball championship of which KONAMI was an official sponsor in Asia. All the same teams and players have returned to once again take the field and bring back all the excitement of the 09’ WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC™ which the team Japan has won two consecutive championships.

Among the game’s new features is "Manager Play", which allows users to skipper a ball club during Pennant and Matchup Modes. PS3 users can also enjoy Manager Play via the Online Mode as well. The new title offers a host of additional features such as player cards and a ranking system that makes playing the game a lot of fun.

Other modes include the Stardom Mode where you can simulate life as a baseball player, and the Spirits Mode that enables you to quickly build up your own team. The title also has a user-friendly tutorial that guides novice players through the basics so they are ready to play ball in no time at all.
