KONAMI will launch PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU TOUCH for the iPhone and iPod touch this July 21st. This is the latest title from the hit JIKKYO PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU series, boasting sales of 17 million copies as of March 31, 2009. PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU TOUCH is the first game in the series to be made for a touch panel. By touching the screen with their finger or sliding their finger across the screen, players can easily throw, hit, run and perform other operations.
The game features two modes. There is the "Versus" mode in which the player selects the team of their choice from six available teams and plays against the computer. Then there is the "Pennant" mode in which the player tries to capture first place in a pennant race. Pennant mode lets players choose the number of games (25, 50 or 140) and innings (3, 6 or 9) they want to play. Both modes offer players three levels of difficulty (easy, normal and hard), that will appeal to a wide range of players from beginners to experts. While the athletes, teams and baseball fields that appear in the game are fictional, the game has more than 300 different sounds and realistic sound effects that put the player right in the middle of some real baseball action. | ||||||||||||||||||
